
As Vice President for KMEA, Lynn Nixon is responsible for helping clients navigate the ever changing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) landscape, strategically improving performance and communicating results to stakeholders. Our goal is to add value to your properties. Lynn supports local and national real estate portfolios transition to a lower carbon future. Her evaluation program begins with a detailed assessment of portfolio assets for benchmarking and potential improvement. Based on the assessment, KMEA will develop short, medium, and long term asset upgrade financial and strategic implementation plans. Finally, she supports your long term, consultative plan implementation.
KMEA helps asset managers and portfolio managers who are responsible for energy-consuming assets for their organization work toward achieving net-zero energy (NZE) over time. NZE buildings are highly efficient and consume only as much energy as they produce or procure from clean, renewable resources on an annual basis.
Lynn is an active member of the Building and Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) at the local, regional, and international level. She is currently serving as the Secretary/Treasurer of BOMA Greater Phoenix. She is a member of the BOMA Pacific Southwest Awards committee and is serving on the BOMA International TOBY Awards committee. She has served on several local and regional committees throughout her career. Lynn was awarded the prestigious International Building of the Year award from the Building Owner’s and Management Association.
Lynn’s experience includes 37 years as a Federal Civil Servant, from which she retired as a GS-14 Senior Property Manager with an unlimited contracting officer’s warrant and was responsible for a building portfolio consisting of approximately 3 million square feet of space. Lynn also served the USA by working for Luke Air Force Base, General Services Administration, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Defense Contract Management Agency, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
From Scottsdale, Arizona, Lynn holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Kennedy-Western University. She also graduated from Harvard University, Graduate School of Design, Office of Executive Education, Emerging Leaders in Real Estate. Lynn is a Certified Envision Sustainability Professional from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure; and a Real Property Administrator (RPA) and Facilities Management Administrator (FMA) from the Building Owners and Management Institute.
